Local Plan consultation October to December 2025
You can now comment on our new Local Plan until midnight on Thursday 11 December 2025. This is formally known as the 'Regulation 18' consultation.
The Local Plan will guide how new developments are delivered between 2027 and 2042. It will include potential development sites, proposed by landowners, to meet the Government’s significantly increased local housing target of 17,175 new homes. That's 1,145 new homes every year, a 63% increase on the current housing target.

Attend a ‘Pop-up’ session
Meet with our Planning Policy team, hear about our proposals and have your say on the Local Plan.
The sessions include a short presentation, a chance to view exhibition boards and consultation materials, and questions and answers.
Spaces at the ‘Pop-up’ sessions must be booked in advance as the venues have limited capacity. Bookings are now open.
One-hour 'Pop up’ sessions are available at 4pm, 5.30pm and 7pm at the following locations and days:
- Sevenoaks – Sevenoaks District Council offices – Wednesday 29 October 2025
- Swanley– White Oak Leisure Centre (Sports Hall) – Wednesday 5 November 2025
- Edenbridge – WI Hall – Monday 10 November 2025
- West Kingsdown – Village Hall (Hall One) – Tuesday 11 November 2025
