The Parish Council own many green spaces in the parish including The Heathside Recreation Park, Westminster field, allotments in Horton Road, the burial ground opposite St. Mary the Virgin Church and the Paddocks.

During the growing season, April to October, the above green spaces are cut and strimmed every fortnight. Hedges are cut annually outside of the nesting season.

Kent County Council owned verges such as  the banks in East Hill, Jacobs Lane and the grass verges in The Street are cut 6 times per year by the parish council.

It can be sometimes confusing as to who is responsible for a particular road, pavement or streetlight but in general

KCC are responsible for roads and pavements https://www.kent.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/report-or-track-a-problem-on-the-road-or-pavement
