Over 55s who live or work in the Sevenoaks District can come along to free Health & Wellbeing Days as part of Silver Sunday.

Visit Sevenoaks, Edenbridge or Swanley White Oak Leisure Centres on certain days to explore the centres, try out the gym and swimming pool, and take part in events in the main sports halls, all for free.

There will also be One You advisors and personal trainers on hand to offer free advice on exercise and nutrition, plus an opportunity to have an NHS health check and take part in a free seated exercise class at 10.30am.

There’s no need to book and there will be free tea and coffee. The events take place of the following dates:

  • Thursday 23 October 10am to 12noon at White Oak Leisure Centre, Hilda May Ave, Swanley BR8 7BT
  • Thursday 6 November 10am to 12noon at Sevenoaks Leisure Centre, Buckhurst Lane, Sevenoaks TN13 1LW
  • Wednesday 10 December10am to 12noon at Edenbridge Leisure Centre, Stangrove Park, Edenbridge TN8 5LU

Cllr Lesley Dyball, Sevenoaks District Council’s Cabinet Member for People and Places, says:

“We are very fortunate to have three great leisure centres in our District and as part of our celebrations for Silver Sunday, we want to encourage older residents to come and try them out.

“Health and wellbeing are really important, especially when we get older, so this is a great opportunity to get general health advice and speak to our One You Advisors.”
