22. External Invitee - Kent Police

The Chairman welcomed Acting Chief Inspector Richard Spicer to the meeting. In response to questions posed by Members in advance of the meeting it was explained that they were working with Sevenoaks District Council (SDC) as well as partner organisations such as the DVLA and Highways. The My Community Voice application could be used to report issues within the community. There had been a focus on road safety and anti-social behaviour nuisance and general anti-social behaviour most of which took place around Lombard street and the Oakview Stud Farm. Assistance had been requested previously and officers together with the highways agency attended and a number of stolen vehicles had been recovered with additional SORN and untaxed vehicles were discovered. Updated information had been provided to the DVLA. Unfortunately untaxed and SORN did not fall within the jurisdiction of the police. Investigations into Stud Farm were ongoing and a community support team was created to provide support to the area. He requested members to make reports through the My Community Voice app.

24. Questions to the Portfolio Holder for People and Places

Public consultation would take place for a PSPO for Riverside Eynsford and Westminster Fields and Franks Lane in Horton Kirby. Views from the Police and Crime Commissioner and Kent Police would also be sought.
