We’ve received reports of two males in a vehicle wearing high-visibility clothing, possibly posing as delivery drivers, seen looking around residential properties and parked vehicles during the early hours of the morning. This behaviour may indicate attempts to identify vulnerable homes or vehicles while residents are asleep.

To help keep our community safe, please consider the following advice:

· Be Alert to Unusual Activity: Suspicious behaviour during early morning hours should be reported immediately. Note vehicle descriptions, VRMs, and direction of travel.

· Verify Identity: Always ask for ID from anyone claiming to be a delivery driver, tradesperson, or utility worker. Genuine staff will not mind showing credentials.

· Secure Your Property & Vehicles:

  • Lock doors and windows, even when at home.
  • Keep vehicles locked and remove valuables from sight.
  • Use steering locks, dash cams, and CCTV where possible.
  • Use a Faraday Pouch: Keyless entry vehicles are vulnerable to relay theft. Store your car keys in a Faraday pouch or box to block the signal and prevent criminals from cloning it.

· Neighbourhood Awareness: Stay connected with neighbours and share concerns. Collective vigilance helps deter criminal activity.
