I have been advised by SGN, and their contractors WCB, that Franks Lane will be reopened Monday evening (27th).
Work will then commence on Eglantine Lane from the junction of Franks Lane to the crossroads at Rays Hill.
Residents at Saxon Place and Eglantine Care Home will continue to have access.
Three-way lights will be in place at the junction of Franks Lane and Eglantine Lane while the essential gas maintenance takes place.
Signage has been displayed for the road closures at Rays Hill and The Street. Again, residents will continue to have access to their property and they should be no disruption to business at the Fighting Cocks.
Frustratingly, my suggestion to Arriva bus group to allow the 414 to travel along Skinney Lane in order to pick up passengers at the top of Jacobs Hill and then return to South Darenth along Horton Road was rejected.
Anyone wishing to use the 414 during the period of road closure will need to pick up the bus outside the Jolly Millers.
