Update 13th October :

Fenced area for 'spoil' Saxon Place: the utilities company have said that the 'daleks' placed inside the compound are only activated when motion nearby is detected and then start recording. They are not able to see into/record any properties.

From District Councillor Alan White:

Franks Lane - scheduled to be reopened 31st October

Eglantine Lane from the junction with Franks Lane to Rays Hill - closed from 27th October until 21st November.

This will mean for a week, traffic will not be able to access/exit Horton Kirby from this route, unless choosing Mussenden Lane. The main route into Horton Kirby would be Station Road.

Rays Hill and The Street - closed from 17th November until 21st December. This will prevent the 414 from completing its usual route. I have encouraged Arriva to consider travelling along Skinney Lane to the junction of Jabcobs Lane to then complete its onward journey along Horton Road back to South Darenth. I’ve not heard further on this suggestion but it would certainly help avoid residents walking to the Jolly Millers in foul winter weather.

School Lane - closed from 5th January 2026 until 23 January.
